Event DescriptionOn the last Tuesday of every month, our virtual Teacher's Lounge is the place to be! Join museum educators online as they do a deep dive into an exhibition, work of art, artist, or theme. These forty-five-minute programs will be interactive and informative--and a chance for teachers to relax while viewing art from their home, car, or classroom! This month, we'll focus on the work, life, and career of Georgia O'Keeffe. Known for her floral and landscape paintings, O'Keeffe was also drawn to canna lilies after she saw them on a visit to Lake George, New York. She created a series of paintings that focused on the canna lily - including the Red Canna. What inspired O'Keeffe in her life? How can her work connect to students' lives? We'll explore all of this and more in this month's Teacher Lounge. This event is free, but preregistration is required. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the event. Teacher's Lounge will not take place in December or May.ZOOM REGISTRATIONArtwork Credit: Georgia O'Keeffe (American, 1887-1986), Red Canna, 1919.TAGSEducatorEducator EventsTeachers' Lounge
